Why I Started Emma Wilmott Digital

Starting Emma Wilmott Digital felt like the natural next step after years of working creatively behind the scenes.
I’ve worked in website design for around 8 years and have always loved the small details that make businesses feel professional and welcoming online. From layouts and branding to photography and social media, I’ve always enjoyed the creative side of helping businesses stand out.
Photography has also been a huge part of my life growing up. My dad always had a camera nearby, and I think that naturally gave me a love for capturing moments, colours, lighting and all the little details people sometimes overlook.
Over time, I realised I wanted to combine both passions together - creative photography and digital design.
Emma Wilmott Digital was created to offer friendly, approachable support for local businesses in Saffron Walden, Essex and surrounding areas. I know social media, websites and online content can sometimes feel overwhelming when you are already busy running a business, so I wanted to create something that felt more personal and supportive rather than overly corporate.
I now offer:

Creative digital support for small businesses
I love creating natural, relaxed content that still feels professional and true to the business behind it!
One of my recent projects included photographing training sessions at Nova Geração Haverhill Jiu Jitsu. I really enjoyed capturing the atmosphere, movement and energy of the classes, as well as creating natural content that could be used across social media and online platforms.
Projects like this are exactly why I started Emma Wilmott Digital - helping local businesses and organisations showcase what they do through relaxed, professional and engaging content.
Whether that is photographing a local café, helping refresh a website, creating content for social media or capturing behind-the-scenes moments, I genuinely enjoy helping businesses feel more confident online.
Based in Saffron Walden, Essex, I work with local businesses looking for friendly support with photography, websites and social media content creation.
I work with a range of local businesses including cafés, retail shops, salons, offices, fitness businesses and independent brands across Essex, Saffron Walden and surrounding areas.
This is only the beginning for Emma Wilmott Digital, but I’m excited to keep growing, learning and working with more local businesses along the way!!
