Why We Love Visiting Rockells Farm Dog Field Near Saffron Walden

As a family, we visit Rockells Farm Dog Field near Saffron Walden a lot - and honestly, we can't recommend it enough.

With our energetic German Shepherd, Collie and a curious toddler, finding somewhere safe for everyone to enjoy can be tricky. Thankfully, Rockells Farm has become one of our favourite places. The secure field gives the dogs plenty of space to run, play and explore, while our toddler loves wandering around, discovering nature and burning off energy too.

At this time of year, the wildflowers are absolutely stunning. Every visit feels different, and it's such a peaceful place to spend an hour outdoors. As a photographer, I always find myself reaching for my camera because there's so much natural beauty to capture.

One of the best parts? The Egg Shed is right opposite the dog field, so we always pop over afterwards to stock up on delicious local produce, eggs, juice and dog treats! It's the perfect way to finish a visit and another great example of supporting wonderful local businesses.
